Our Preschool Program

  • Play is important to your child, because play is learning. Play is not just fun and games, it creates important life experiences. Their brains build connections to these experiences and help them to apply the knowledge elsewhere. It offers opportunities for critical thinking, problem solving, planning and creativity. It will help improve communication, vocabulary and language.

Item 1 of 3

We are an inclusive program.

All are welcome here.

We are committed to creating an environment that best supports each child's growth and learning. To achieve this, we gather valuable input from families, communicate and check-in, and adjust our classroom sizes to ensure personalized attention for every child. By meeting each child where they are and working closely with families, we can provide the most effective support and help your child thrive in our program. Together, through strong family partnerships, we set the stage for your child's success.

Preschool is your child’s first experience in a school setting.

It is our mission to ensure that this time is positive, special, safe, and nurturing.

Our day begins

After we arrive, we wash our hands and get ready to learn with puzzles, books, and small manipulative toys. When all of our friends arrive, we meet on the carpet for the beginning of our day!

Whole Group/Soft Landing

This is a time when we play movement games, discuss our day, celebrate Student Special Days, sing songs and spend time together. We focus on different learning concepts, games, and follow conversation leads from our students. We offer conversation starters to learn more about each class.

Read Aloud

We know how important it is to read out loud to children! It build vocabulary, comprehension and working memory. It creates conversations and can develop a lifelong love of reading.

We allow opportunities to be flexible and meet every child where they are at. We have access to books and literary resources throughout class and ensure that we always have a story to read as a class. We may even take our stories outside to our outdoor classroom.

Snack Time

Families provide a small snack and a refillable water bottle each day for their children. We are a NUT-FREE Facility.

Open Exploration

We focus on nurturing holistic childhood development by providing a variety of engaging activities that support growth in multiple areas. Our environment is designed to foster creativity, physical development, cognitive skills, and social-emotional growth. Through building toys, dramatic play centers, active games, and large play structures, children engage in hands-on learning that stimulates both their imagination and physical coordination.

Each month, we introduce a new dramatic play area, allowing children to explore different roles and scenarios, which enhances their social skills, emotional expression, and problem-solving abilities. In our building center, we offer open-ended materials that encourage critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity as children design and construct their own imaginative creations.

Our learning tables are thoughtfully set up with activities that integrate math, literacy, science, and exploration. These activities challenge children's cognitive development while fostering curiosity and a love of learning. Additionally, we provide open-ended loose parts, inviting children to experiment and innovate, encouraging them to think outside the box and develop their creativity in limitless ways.

By offering a balanced combination of structured and unstructured play, we support the growth of the whole child—emotionally, socially, cognitively, and physically—ensuring they are equipped with the skills and confidence to navigate the world around them.

Creative Space

During our playtime, students are invited to explore and engage in self-discovery through the creative process in our art space. The focus is not on the finished product, but on the journey of creating. Through open-ended artistic experiences, each child has the opportunity to express themselves in their own unique way, developing both fine motor skills and a deeper connection to their own creativity.

The art space is a place for experimentation and exploration, where students can create something to take home while learning new techniques with a variety of materials, tools, and ideas. This time also encourages collaboration, as students share and build upon each other’s work, further enhancing their sense of community.

Above all, the space allows students to "make their mark," embracing the process of creation as a meaningful part of their personal growth and self-expression.

Outdoor Discovery

Have you ever heard of an outdoor classroom? At our preschool, we’re lucky to offer this enriching space for children to learn, grow, and connect with nature.

Outdoor classrooms are more than just a space for play—they support essential areas of childhood development. Studies show that time spent outdoors improves creativity, enhances physical coordination, supports cognitive growth, and boosts emotional well-being. When children engage with nature, they build resilience, problem-solving skills, and a sense of wonder that deepens their understanding of the world around them.

In our outdoor classroom, children are free to explore, experiment, and learn through play. They can discover the natural world around them through activities like bug hunting, sensory exploration, and outdoor art projects, all of which promote curiosity and self-directed learning. These hands-on experiences are a vital part of cognitive and emotional development, as they allow children to learn at their own pace in a safe, supportive environment.

We believe that investing in outdoor learning spaces is key to fostering holistic childhood development. By integrating nature into our curriculum, we provide children with opportunities to grow intellectually, physically, and socially in ways that a traditional classroom setting cannot.

Join us in celebrating the incredible benefits of nature-based learning, where your child’s development is nurtured through exploration and connection with the world around them!
